Slander from Google is fun kids!

Earlier this month we produced a blog article illustrating how we screwed up. It was simple and educational, and it really hits close to the homes of independent blogging and website building on how much goes through a single organization which is Google. More importantly, how many websites piggyback onto the giant and just happily accept their data as pure truth instead of questioning its overall legitimacy? From a scarier point of view the bots are doing exactly what they are programmed to do and in turn, are becoming scapegoats for corporate greed.

If AI is going to take the fall for human corruption. Well! Guess that's ANOTHER reason why robots should wipe us off of the face of the earth!

The point is we want to show you some classic Google incompetence and how everyone accepts this as "just another day on the internet" when the more appropriate response should be outrage.

What is "Have fun" for 1000 and the win in the Jeopardy championship?

Well! This question comes from the social blades:

I have a serious question for @Twitch streamers (partnered or not): If you could give ONE piece of advice to another streamer or to someone who wants to start streaming, what would it be? I've heard enough from "stream coaches". I want to know what the general consensus is.
Well! The answer is right in the title of this blog entry. "Have fun." You are welcome. We make it painless here at S-Config.com.
Also, we've heard enough from "Stream Coaches" too. Is that even a real career path in life? It seems like if you utter the word "Stream Coach" on a social network suddenly you get 5-20 followers from automated "Stream Coaches." It's almost like uttering the word "SoundCloud" too loudly on Facebook or Twitter. Lol! It doesn't matter! ;)
The question exceeds Twitch and applies to any project you are working on the net. This is why this lowly blogger is going to intercept a said message that was designed and tailored only for the Twitch community and answer it in a more general sense. For those who aren't interested in reading.
Sometimes, the best advice is always the shortest and perceptibly the easiest. Yet, we've seen people fail at doing this very thing. Including ourselves at times!

It appears we screwed up.

Yes, it's true. We can screw up. We're pros at it!

In this chapter, we are swept away by tornadoes and dropped off somewhere in Jersey. It's a serious fear for those who live in the great American mid-west. For those who aren't following our social networks, we made the switch from Apache to NGinx. Why do you ask? Because after doing a lot of research combined with the fact that a lot of higher end programs we use have migrated to the  Nginx platform. It seemed reasonably powerful to give it a go. For the most part, the migration was a success! But like all things new you tend to get a little crazy with configuration and sometimes screw up!

To those who were wondering why things were silent for a bit. Well, there you go! Just table-flipping the website once again! Would you like to know more?

Aww geez! Not another YouTube rant!

It's a time that as a blogger we address the proverbial elephant in the room. The last few things YouTube has done I've remained quiet about. Mostly in the respect that I've already said my piece about them and have suggested to people to try other outlets. From their de-monetization policy, a word that if you uttered 10 years ago people would scratch their heads and ask you "What the hell are you talking about?" To "Adpocalypse" and "AI mass deletion" to now with this whole "COPPA/FTA" ordeal. I feel it's time to address these issues in an environment that YouTube nor Google cannot control.

This very blog. I should throw a small disclaimer that these are the opinions of S-Config.com. In such, you should do your investigative research to form your own opinions on the subject matter. Don't be a lemming!

Skateboard update version 2.x

Welcome to my diatribe of a skateboard. Volume 2!

I haven't updated much about the skateboarding side of my blog because no less than a few months in a suffered from a level 2 MCL tear which took me out for 6 months. However, I've been getting back to skateboarding again for exercise reasons. It's more fun to skate than it is to run around the block stupidly. That and if we get bored (like what usually happens on most regiments of being a better human being.) we can practice other things than just skating around in a perpetual loop around the park.

Hah! No company pays this site because they'd have to get ahold of us first. Hardly anyone pays us but ourselves! We're doing this article because we can. It's just that simple. This blog entry will serve as a reference point whenever someone asks me what type of keyboard do recommend. To which they'll probably laugh. Ignore everything mentioned in this article And finally, purchase a name-brand piece of garbage for $200 only to throw it away in 6 months.

Start a blog? In this day and age? What the hell man?!?

Perhaps one of the three readers might be interested in our advice on how to start a blog. To learn from the mistakes/failures we've made so that you can be an even better blogger. Perhaps even some of the success that we've had, too. It's now been five and a half years since we opened this site, and to this date, we couldn't be happier with the majority of the decisions made here. So, instead of giving little bits of information like "download WordPress," this article aims to approach all aspects of what it takes to be at least a proficient blogger.

We can't call ourselves professional bloggers, as that would involve making money. But proficient is the next best thing in our opinion. It should also be noted that this may not be the happiest article out there. There are a lot of pitfalls and caveats when building a website that could potentially happen. Let's begin!

For many who read our blogs, you've probably seen a lot of links going off to eBay for the hardware that we buy. Although there are probably better sources to get cheap electronics such as Amazon. However, eBay has always been our go-to source for a lot of bizarre things. This time around we purchased something rather mundane. What we ended up with is an eBay experience that is almost a teachable lesson on how fucked up business has gotten.
