What the hell is a MOZ?

Moz is a service that no one asked for. A variant of the old Google "PageRank" engine ideologies where just like that system is bases your 'domain authority' off of an obscure pyramid scheme of "more important" domains to prove your worth. MOZ isn't the first to try to 'rank' the internet. There was WOT (Website of Trust) which had it's own issues with legalities. And of course there's the Amazon Giant in the corner "Alexa" which quietly monitors everyone's website traffic if you want them to or not.

This site is a centralized network.

I don't feel dirty saying it's centralized because-

It's the execution of a centralized network that makes centralization terrible! Not the model itself! The blog of S-Config is a centralized network. Meaning that individuals paid money to a data center to host content at a single point of location for the rest of the internet to come in and acquire. This means that we share the same core philosophy as Facebook, Twitter, and the DOT com version of WordPress. But where we part ways is not forcing you to log in and identify yourselves. Because of this, although we have accounts on places like Mastodon. We don't advocate decentralization completely.

4 years sitting in a desk drawer and now my Pine64 is back online.

A long time ago we did a review of a Kickstarter project known as the "Pine64." It was a $15 dollar arm processor board that came out after the Pi 2 in 2015. We were not one of the super-early backers and thus we got a 2016 board just like everyone else. When we did the review it wasn't overly favorable because during that era everyone was trying to "Kickstarter" their project but no one really had good foresight as to how to handle their product AFTER it was "kickstart' ed" for lack of a better word. We had hopes that in due time the OS would get more stable and these PIs that carry the Mali400 GPU chip sets would get useful again. So did it? Slander from Google is fun kids!

Earlier this month we produced a blog article illustrating how we screwed up. It was simple and educational, and it really hits close to the homes of independent blogging and website building on how much goes through a single organization which is Google. More importantly, how many websites piggyback onto the giant and just happily accept their data as pure truth instead of questioning its overall legitimacy? From a scarier point of view the bots are doing exactly what they are programmed to do and in turn, are becoming scapegoats for corporate greed.

If AI is going to take the fall for human corruption. Well! Guess that's ANOTHER reason why robots should wipe us off of the face of the earth!

The point is we want to show you some classic Google incompetence and how everyone accepts this as "just another day on the internet" when the more appropriate response should be outrage.

What is "Have fun" for 1000 and the win in the Jeopardy championship?

Well! This question comes from the social blades:

I have a serious question for @Twitch streamers (partnered or not): If you could give ONE piece of advice to another streamer or to someone who wants to start streaming, what would it be? I've heard enough from "stream coaches". I want to know what the general consensus is.

Well! The answer is right in the title of this blog entry. "Have fun." You are welcome. We make it painless here at S-Config.com.

Also, we've heard enough from "Stream Coaches" too. Is that even a real career path in life? It seems like if you utter the word "Stream Coach" on a social network suddenly you get 5-20 followers from automated "Stream Coaches." It's almost like uttering the word "SoundCloud" too loudly on Facebook or Twitter. Lol! It doesn't matter! ;)

The question exceeds Twitch and applies to any project you are working on the net. This is why this lowly blogger is going to intercept a said message that was designed and tailored only for the Twitch community and answer it in a more general sense. For those who aren't interested in reading.

Sometimes, the best advice is always the shortest and perceptibly the easiest. Yet, we've seen people fail at doing this very thing. Including ourselves at times!

Yes, it's true. We can screw up. We're pros at it!

In this chapter, we are swept away by tornadoes and dropped off somewhere in Jersey. It's a serious fear for those who live in the great American mid-west. For those who aren't following our social networks, we made the switch from Apache to NGinx. Why do you ask? Because after doing a lot of research combined with the fact that a lot of higher end programs we use have migrated to the Nginx platform. It seemed reasonably powerful to give it a go. For the most part, the migration was a success! But like all things new you tend to get a little crazy with configuration and sometimes screw up!

To those who were wondering why things were silent for a bit. Well, there you go! Just table-flipping the website once again! Would you like to know more?

Aww geez! Not another YouTube rant!

It's a time that as a blogger we address the proverbial elephant in the room. The last few things YouTube has done I've remained quiet about. Mostly in the respect that I've already said my piece about them and have suggested to people to try other outlets. From their de-monetization policy, a word that if you uttered 10 years ago people would scratch their heads and ask you "What the hell are you talking about?" To "Adpocalypse" and "AI mass deletion" to now with this whole "COPPA/FTA" ordeal. I feel it's time to address these issues in an environment that YouTube nor Google cannot control.

This very blog. I should throw a small disclaimer that these are the opinions of S-Config.com. In such, you should do your investigative research to form your own opinions on the subject matter. Don't be a lemming!
