Wherein the blog has failed successfully - January Update.
This is just some updates that we had to let the readers know.
- Our spam blocker decided to put all of the comments from the alt-nets right into the garbage. Shame on you, spam blocker! But we guess it's to be expected since alt-nets default to a loopback address, and thus the spam blocker just thought that IP was a bad actor and blocked it entirely. I've created an exception, so at least there's a chance that we can see it. We honestly thought we were back to shouting at clouds again and that our site was blocked.
.
To all who tried to comment but were unable to do so. Apologies on that, yo!
.
To those who keep commenting that we're gay! Hey! We're working on becoming MORE gay just for you!!
. - We have moved the comments section out of the footer of this site. This move really gave the spammers a heart attack as they frantically tried to post everywhere on my blog, only to find out nothing was happening. The last 100 comments are on their own page now.
- Some of you were commenting on events that were happening when this site was on the clearnet. In general, we're pretty good at publishing when we entered the alt-nets out there. like Tor back in 04/24/16 and eventually I2P back in 10/28/2022. Any postings before these dates would more than likely reference clear-net issues and problems.
- Speaking of the Tor page. We moved all of the recommended links table we had at the bottom of that article over to the buttons page. We recognize that buttons are a different way of independent web promotion and encourage all of our readers to explore some of our buttons there. If you are a webmaster looking to trade buttons. reach out.
- In the e-mail section, I've added an I2P e-mail address as ANOTHER way for peeps to reach out to me. Sometimes my e-mail server gets stupid and locks up, and we should have some level of redundancy for people to reach out. Our pleroma instance(Clearnet) is great, too, if you are on Mastodon. The I2P e-mail will not work on Tor or Clearnet. Which is why it's fairly safe to use the "mailto:" link system, as the odds of spammers using I2P are still fairly new to them.
Update 01/11/2026 -We are individuals.

We don't think we have to have this kind of discussion with our readers, but lately we've been seeing certain bloggers being put under a light of criticism that's typically reserved for large corporations or YouTubers that employ a decent amount of people, such as Linus Tech Tips(link to store on clearnet because fuck YouTube). Understand that the sites we link to in our cellar door and buttons pages are also individuals.
We at S-Config.com/i2p/onion do not know everything. In retrospect, looking at some of our friends in the tech space, we sometimes feel like neanderthals in comparison to what some of them are doing. Knuckle-dragging across the fruited plains with fire hazard soldering irons, putting shit together. We were even hit with a lot of tech support questions about a video game on Steam called "Forza." Which, looking into it ourselves, is this racing game made by Microsoft that has terrible controller detection.
Made by Microsoft (Sorry, "Xbox game studios") is your very first fucking problem. Right there. This is also probably why they're coming to individual bloggers with these questions about supporting a multi-million dollar game, because the developers sure as fuck will not. Now, just because we don't have a solution due to not really being able to afford a game like this does not mean there's going to be someone else who DOES know about this game. (Not going to knock a developer about the cost of art as it's all about the mind's eye. If a developer thinks their game is $200USD and it sells like hot cakes, what the fuck do we know right? But a 20-year edition of this game is pushing 60USD at the time of this article.) If you've seen our DIY projects, we don't even spend that much on hardware. much less a game. We paid $25 for Cyberpunk 2077 when it was on sale. Thus, we fall into cheap-ass gamer territory. Back to the rant, we've seen people build racing environments around games like this. So don't give up looking for answers. For the Forza players out there. Sorry, we couldn't help you.
Guess what we're trying to say is the indieweb/smallweb, whatever the fuck you want to call it, can be niche, sometimes. Like our articles about controllers. We simply do not have the kind of financial/technological/or brute force physical manpower to answer questions about the scope of every controller interacting with every game. We've had people get "Karen" about it, too, saying we don't lift a finger to help, and thus we're as bad as the developers at Xbox Game Studios.
Which is just untrue! You see, we offer full money-back guarantees on our answers. For the beautiful cost of nothing, if you don't like what we're showing here, you get nothing back! In fact, we'll DOUBLE your nothing! Because that's how much money we're making supporting Forza. Nothing.. Thanks for stopping by.
Will this site ever not be smallweb/indieweb? Probably not. There are ways to escape that title. We just don't feel like filling up this site with boobies and penises. When you're no longer an indieweb/smallweb.. You're an adult website! Where everyone is a "STAR"! Nor will we go down the path and live up to our (.COM) prefix, our clearnet DNS is named on and turn this blog into a business, rent an office, hire engineers, and then turn around to tell those engineers to fuck off on their QA, we got a video to push for Nvidia in a few hours. You see, that's not smallweb/indieweb either. That's just being an asshole. We're good at being an asshole without going through all of that.
Update: 01/18/2026
RSS updates.
We updated our RSS "WHY" landing page to help new readers about why RSS exists and how to get a reader for it. But still left the old article on why we disabled it, and the code for WordPress on how to disable it.
That's all server had to say.

This was a great first impression of the "dark web" for me, an amateur surfer. Thanks for the read :)
Hello from the wonders of the "Dark Web".:D
Ohh, if you made it to Tor you can retire the amateur surfer title. You're good!
Thanks for the kind words and for visiting this site.
